Live Oak Off-Leash Dog Group Gaining Momentum

This Live Oak group is trying to have the beaches around 20th Avenue declared off-leash for dogs.

 

Live Oak Off Leash Advocates are asking to have the beaches from 20th Avenue to Moran Lake Beach open to dogs without leashes from sunrise to 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. to sunset.

The group, which started in the spring, has adopted a beach to clean for publicity and good will, according to this article in the Sentinel.

Its online petition has 1, 097 signatures.

Its website, here, proclaims: This is our chance to ask the County to legalize an activity on the beach that we have had for the past 20 years!
