French Toast Mafia Cleaning the Beaches

Save Our Shores (SOS), the leader in ocean awareness, advocacy and action on the Central Coast, announced today "The French Toast Mafia", a middle school team from the Student Oceanography Club at the Monterey Bay Aquarium, is hosting a beach clean-up on Saturday, January 11th from 10am -12 noon at Twin Lakes State Beach.

This team of students from Tierra Pacifica, Ocean Grove, and Pacific Collegiate Schools have made beach clean-ups their project for the year. The team is partnering with Save Our Shores with the goal of cleaning "one beach at a time".

“This is what we love to see, students taking initiative to lead their own events, and in turn inspiring their peers to do the same,” said Rachel Kippen, Program Manager at SOS.
