The City of Santa Cruz Parks and Recreation Department is seeking class proposals for 2014 summer session. Deadline for proposals is Thursday, January 9, 2014 at 5:00 p.m.
The department's Summer Activity Guide is published in mid-March and registration starts April 12, 2014, hence the early call for class proposals. Summer session starts the week of June 16, 2014 and runs through the week of August 15, 2014.
Children's classes and camps are most popular in summer. Adults enjoy classes in arts, fitness and outdoors. Digital media and dance classes for teens are also in demand. Proposal forms and applications are available www.cityofsantacruz.com/classes or at the Parks and Recreation Office at 323 Church Street.
