The Santa Cruz Children’s Museum of Discovery (MOD for short) is an emerging museum project that draws on these strengths to provide fun, hands-on, experiential learning opportunities for children and families. This permanent learning center will offer interactive exhibits and programs that explore the natural, cultural, and scientific worlds. MOD will become an integral part of childhood for current and future Santa Cruz County generations, and it will also attract families visiting the area.

Over the past year, a core group of community volunteers has laid a strong foundation, forming the MOD Board of Directors and Advisory Committee and securing nonprofit status. More than 350 area leaders and community members have pledged their support for the project.
