For every 10 pounds of Smart Chicken® purchased at New Leaf stores this month, New Leaf and Smart Chicken’s producer (MBA Poultry) will donate one pound of nutritious poultry to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Santa Cruz County. New Leaf has donated 13 tons of poultry to Second Harvest Food Banks since 2006.

Smart Chicken was the first air-chilled poultry in the United States, replacing the standard immersion/absorption method of chilling poultry. Unlike other poultry, no water is ever added to Smart Chicken.
