The United Way is kicking off the Annual Campaign Kickoff Breakfast on Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at Hotel Paradox, Santa Cruz, from 7:30am – 9:30am. This campaign kickoff officially launches the annual workplace campaigns that take place from September – November throughout Santa Cruz County. Over 100 local businesses participate in the workplace campaign, raising funds to support the United Way Community Investment Fund – the systemic method of investing community funds throughout our county. These funds support 21 local agencies that provide measurable outcomes in the areas of Youth, Family Financial Stability and Health. .
The 2013 United Way Campaign Co-Chairs are Alan McKay, Executive Director of the Central California Alliance for Health and Tonée Picard, Executive Vice President – Chief Development Officer at Bay Federal Credit Union. They will announce this year’s campaign theme, community goal and share information about the community impact.
