Outside Lands Fan.

After a long Monday, I’m sitting here still trying to process what I consider one of the most memorable experiences I will have in my life. I am very lucky to say that I was a part of Outside Lands 2013. Trying to put this unique music festival into words is a bit difficult because you truly had to be there…but I will try my best.

A quote comes to mind when I think of the weekend I just had… “Your twenties are your selfish years. It’s a decade to immerse yourself into everything possible. Be selfish with your time and all aspects of you. Tinker with shit, travel, explore, love a lot, love a little, and never touch the ground.”

Stepping into Golden Gate park was like stepping into another world. A world full of thousands of vibrant, colorful people coming together for the same purpose…the music. I felt like I was experiencing the modern day Woodstock. The first night I was able to witness history. Years from now, I can tell my children that when I was 22 I got to see Paul McCartney. There was something about that night…something magical happened. Standing in the midst of thousands of people, singing “Hey Jude” was one of those moments where you wish time would stop. That night set the tone for the rest of the weekend. With amazing bands from all over the world, amazing food that you just have to indulge in, as well as the amazing art that was everywhere you looked. I cant really say anything else except if you have the chance, go to Outside Lands.
