Daylight Savings Pet Adoption Special To Save Lives!

A package valued at more than $400 is offered at a greatly discounted rate

(Editor's Note: The following information was received by Patch and is being reprinted here.)

The Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter (SCCAS) continues to experience an overload of animals at its shelter and is looking to find forever homes for adoptable animals.

Adopting out animals helps open up space at its open-admission shelter for other local animals that need Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter’s help.

To encourage more animal adoptions, SCCAS will be offering the following adoption price specials for the entire month of November, 2013:

  1. All Puppies and Dogs $65 (cost of dog license, microchip and vaccinations)
  2. All Kittens and Cats $35 (cost of microchip and vaccinations)
  3. All Rabbits $25 (cost of microchip)
All adoptions include spay/neuter, microchip (including registration), age appropriate vaccinations, Felv/FIV testing (for cats), license (for dogs), routine treatment for fleas/worms, dog collar (for dogs), cat carrier (for cats), and a free pet wellness exam with local participating veterinarians—a package valued at more than $400!

SCCAS is currently very full with beautiful cats, kittens, dogs, puppies and rabbits waiting for a forever home.

SCCAS is asking the community to save a life and help local homeless animals in the community by adopting a companion animal. For more information, please visit www.scanimalshelter.org.
