Get Out in Santa Cruz: A Local 9/11 Tribute, Sand N Sea Fitness Boot Camp and More

The annual Capitola Art and Wine Festival, a 9/11 tribute with a local touch and a softball travel team tryout are all on the docket this week in the Santa Cruz region.

Where/When: Memorial Plaza, 1550 Pacific Ave, Santa Cruz, CA.

Why Go: At the "Projects for Peace" station, you can record short messages of gratitude to local first responders and decorate mixed media tiles that share your vision for a peaceful Santa Cruz community. Help the event organizers meet their goal to gather over 200 peace tiles from three "Projects for Peace" stations across the county to assemble in a traveling "peacetile mural installation" that will inspire civic engagement and actions to create greater unity and peace.
