A handful of the best food spots Santa Cruz can offer are participating in this week's Santa Cruz Restaurant Week.

Where/When: Several locations across Santa Cruz will be participating from Thursday through Sunday.

This is a great opportunity to try specials at a favorite restaurant or to try a new restaurant on your list. Where/When: , 401 Old San Jose Rd, Soquel, CA. Thursday, 6:30 p.m. 

Why Go: Off to a sizzling 19-4 start overall, the Soquel High girls volleyball team meets up with nearby Santa Cruz Coast Athletic League foe, Santa Cruz High on Thursday night. The Knights are 4-0 in SCCAL play, defeating St. Francis-Watsonville and Mt. Madonna in three games last week. Senior captains Ragine Graves and Bria Morgan will look to keep the undefeated run going at home against rival Santa Cruz. Santa Cruz also won both league matches last week, improving to 7-6 overall and 4-2 in SCCAL action. The varsity match begins at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday night at Soquel.

Where/When: 10031 Pacheco Pass Hwy, Hollister, CA. Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. 

Why Go: Fairies and other mystical creatures will roam the grounds all weekend long during Fantasy Week at the annual Renaissance Faire in Casa de Fruta. Join Titania, the Queen of the Fairies, and others during the final weekend of the faire.

Pricing: General Admission ticket: $25. Weekend pass: $35

Where/When: , 912 41st Ave, Santa Cruz, CA. Friday, 6 p.m. 

Why Go: Come check out photos from the Fury 66 reunion show that took place on Saturday, September 10th. Hang out with friends, the band and browse through the sweet photos from the show Friday night! Fresh hawaiian style food will be served from Pono Hawaiian Grill.

Where/When: 1156 High St, Santa Cruz, CA. Saturday, 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. 

Why Go: Make it an afternoon at the seasonal event every gardener wants to attend. There will be hundreds of beautiful California Native Plants and hard to find Australian and African plants grown for our climate. Great selection, prices and a free plant giveaway every hour on the hour.
