Photo of the Day: Boards for Sale on Pleasure Point

Some sweet graphics here.

Pleasure Point was bustling on the first nice weekend day of the year.

The rebuilding of the bike and car paths was a hit, despite the complaining from residents who feared it would destroy the character of the area.

The biggest problem? The traffic moves in the wrong direction, away from the surf, so that drivers who want to check the waves have to stop or slow unbearably to see them.

Turn the traffic the other way on the one-way street and the waves would be right in front of the cars. Which public planner came up with this gaff?

Meanwhile, tourists could buy some nicely painted surf boards.
