Santa Cruz Diner Cuts Back to Three Days a Week

Santa Cruz Diner, open 24 hours a day since 2008, has cut back its hours to only Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Filled with fun signs that were a tribute to the history of the city, the diner on Ocean Street is a staple for locals, especially late nights. It also offers the most diverse menu in town, with traditional dinner specials such as roast beef and a Vietnamese menu, since one of the owners hails from that country.

It has vegan items and local seafood dinners for around $10.

It was also one of only three restaurants open 24 hours a day. The others are Jeffrey's on Soquel Drive and Denny's, also on Ocean.
