Shhh...Don't Tell the Tourists...First Day of Fall is the Best Beach Day of the Year
The beaches were deserted. Santa Cruz might as well have been a remote island. But the water was almost Hawaii warm. No wetsuit required.
Here's the scene from Radio Tower Beach Saturday which two weeks ago was packed.
At 2 p.m. there were only a handful of people and they were swimming without wetsuits.
Fall is when Santa Cruz truly is paradise.
