Stunning Photos of a Bobcat in Arana Gulch Friday

What does it mean to you that this area is being paved with a bike path and new bridge?

Karl Isacson took these stunning photos Friday at Arana Gulch, which is fenced up and having a bridge and bike path paved through it.

Karl writes:

"Here is a photo I just took of a bobcat by the east bridge landing.  It seems to be taking refuge from all the tree cutting and woodchipping going on behind SC Bible church where the bridge will land.  It is a sad juxtaposition of it against the chain link fence, orange spray paint and piles of cut oak branches."

The shots were taken with a cell phone. Wow.

Have you seen these big cats in the Gulch?

For those who don't know where this is, it's an urban/suburban open space behind Walgreens on Soquel and it stretches down to the Harbor.
