Author and Patch Writer David Jay Brown in Accident; Needs Help

David Jay Brown, who was voted the best writer in Santa Cruz by both Good Times and the Santa Cruz Weekly has been in an accident and friends have set up a fund to help him.

From the Facebook Page, Help Support David Jay Brown:

"David Jay Brown-the author of Mavericks of the Mind, Conversations on the Edge of the Apocalypse, Over the Edge of the Mind, and numerous other books about the evolution of consciousness-was recently in a serious car accident and really needs your help to recover.

Although no one was seriously harmed, his home, his livelihood, and his career are all in serious jeopardy right now. If you believe in his work, and would like to offer support, a website is currently being set up to accept donations online, but meanwhile donations can be sent to his PayPal account (dajabr@well.com), or to: David Jay Brown, P.O. Box 1082, Ben Lomond, California, 95005.

He needs to raise around $10,000 for car repairs and legal fees over the next few weeks. Any support would be considered most generous, and anyone who helps will be on the acknowledgment page of his next book. An autographed copy of David's next book will be sent to anyone who donates over $25. Any support or prayers will be most welcome. ♥"

The weekly's site is hacked and we can't link to the most recent story on Brown, published yesterday, calling him writer of the year.

Here's a link to the Santa Cruz Weekly also selecting him best writer of the year.
