His giant blue hand, toony terrors and psychedlic dreams are on surf and skateboards all over Santa Cruz.

But a furor started after fashion designer Jeremy Scott unveiled his new line of dresses at New York's fashion week last week with images that looked all too familiar to the board-riding community.

It began with this posting on Jimbo's Facebook page: "WTF" and was followed by another brief post, "???"

Below the question was an image of a new shirt by Scott with an old skateboard by Jim. The images looked similar, if not identical.

Fashion magazines picked up the thread, as did Spin magazine.

Phillips fans have been sharing a graphic on Facebook that depicts the iconic blue hands with a logo that says "F*** Jeremey Scott."

"Wow Thanks for the support! You guys are F#@king awesome!!" Phillips responded on his page.
