9/11 Projects For Peace

Join us on this National Day of Service to commemorate the 10th anniversary of 9/11 and share hopeful visions for a peaceful Santa Cruz community.

Your "9/11 Projects For Peace" station will be located in Memorial Plaza in downtown Santa Cruz. We will have a videographer to help you record short message of gratitude to local first responders. You and your children can also decorate mixed media tiles that share your vision for a peaceful Santa Cruz community. We hope to gather over 200 peace tiles from three "Projects for Peace" stations across the county to assemble in a traveling "peacetile mural installation" that will inspire civic engagement and actions to create greater unity and peace.  Be sure to make it out on Sunday, 9/11. We need your voice and vision to make it happen!

This event is free and open to the public!
