All these have shaped and defined Kris, making her into the self-taught artist she is today, influencing and inspiring her to create art since she was a child. Beautiful Santa Cruz county and the California coast have always been her backyard. There are so many reasons to draw inspiration from the sea, our amazing coastline, and the surf culture. Kris's passion is in capturing and reflecting their many moods, natural colors and surroundings, both in her real life experiences and in her daydreams of the perfect surf spots.
