Song Tasting

The Backstage Lounge (next to the Rio Theater) partners with local songwriters for a monthly Song Tasting series beginning Thursday, December 15, 2011.

Each tasting features 3 or 4 singer-songwriters who take turns playing 15-20 minute sets of original songs throughout the evening. The series will focus on local talent with occasional appearances from Bay Area and travelling performers. This is a great way for songwriters to showcase their songs and for listeners to discover new artists and hear local favorites in an intimate setting. The inaugural tasting on December 15th features local luminary Dayan Kai, the warm and sultry Nancy Cassidy, and series host Midyne. Come hungry and thirsty to support this live music venue with food and beverage purchases (cash only). Doors open at 6pm and music starts at 7pm.
