Young Performers Showcase

The third annual Young Performers Showcase is a benefit to support music programs in Santa Cruz city schools and sponsored by the Santa Cruz Education Foundation.

It will feature a variety of talented local performing artists, ages 13-28.  The show will be an extravaganza of young singers, dancers, musicians and jugglers and is “guaranteed to astonish and delight.”
Tickets available at Streetlight Records, Ticketweb.com and the Rio Theatre Box Office (night of show only).
·      “50/50” raffle and silent auction
·      Emcee will be Sven Davis from Planet Cruz Comedy Hour

Performers will include:
·      Rising star rock trio Almost Chaos
·      Santa Cruz Ukelele Club
·      Jugglers Noah and Robin
·      Singer/songwriter Bridget Johnson
·      Classical guitarist JP McShane
·      Ballerina Corrinne Sampson
·      UCSC acapella singers The Hightones
·      Hip hop dancers Luis Sanchez and Infinity Krew
·      Special performance by singer Alysha Antonino, backed by local favorites 7 Come 11

The Young Performers Showcase was developed by Cruzville Productions, a group of Santa Cruz business professionals, to supplement the lack of adequate funding for music programs in state and local schools. Studies confirm that involvement with music and performance in school can have a profound impact on academic performance, self-esteem, concentration, self-expression and overall connectedness to school.
