Why: There are still tickets at good prices for your Santa Cruz Warriors, whose playoff game starts at 7 p.m. at Kaiser Permanente Arena. This isn't just a good time; it's history. You can tell your grandkids you saw the Warriors first season.
What: Dance Week takes to strange places

Where: Post Office, Abbott Square and the back of the Del Mar Theater.

Why: Dance breaks through the walls, off the stage and into the community. There are performances all week long.

What: Learn more about local environmental issues with Save Upper Campus, Save our Shores, the City of Santa Cruz Public Works and the Santa Cruz Natural History Museum. Connect with nature through music in a community drumming session in Abbott Square from 5:30-6:45PM or through movement with drop in yoga classes in the sculpture garden with DiviniTree Yoga from 5:30-7:30 p.m.
SATURDAY APRIL 20
What: EARTH DAY CELEBRATION
Where: San Lorenzo Park
When: 11 a.m.-4 p.m.
Cost: Free
Why: The free event will host over 100 educational and green retail booths and features live music from local bands Coffee Zombie Collective and SambaDá.
Kids activities include a rock climbing wall, face painting, tumbling gymnastics area and arts and crafts booths, all for free! You can browse the electric vehicle showcase or take a test drive, and enjoy delicious food, and the organic wine garden and learn from composting workshops.
Help clean up the San Lorenzo River between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Check in at the Save Our Shores booth. Bring your own gloves and bucket if you have them. The solar powered festival stage, sponsored by Sandbar Solar, will feature live music and a recycled fashion show scheduled throughout the day. Why: This is the yearly celebration of vinyl records where artists make special collectable disks for fans to buy one day a year. There are hundreds of special items. See the list here.

What: A lot of people congregate on the UCSC campus to celebrate smoking weed. Will it be as big on a day when it isn't an excuse to cut class? Warning: A lot of Santa Cruz Police will be posted on the roads leading up to campus to look for bad and weed smoking drivers.
