INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY CELEBRATION

Where/When: Water Street Bridge, Santa Cruz,  Tuesday, 5 p.m.

Why Go: It’s the 100th anniversary of International Women’s Day. Is any other reason needed? Yes, we know we are breaking a bit of precedent here, by going into a weekday event. But Tuesday’s celebration is a milestone. Around the world, people will be joining together on bridges to mark the anniversary. In Santa Cruz, those who gather will be calling for an end to violence against women. Lots of special guests. Lots of prominent people. And maybe, you!
