Why go: This show sold out last time around. The Coffis Brothers, Larry Graff, and Jayme Kelly Curtis, to name just a few, are among local talented musicians that will honor Dylan by performing many of his classics. There will be audio clipped interviews along with a video presentation by Dylan.

Where: Cabrillo Crocker Theatre

Why go: Learn the highlights of how this strong dance community has grown over the generations from one class taught by Roberta Bristol at Cabrillo College in 1959 to over 20 dance studios today throughout Santa Cruz. Hear local instructors speak about their passion for dance and check out photos while listening to short stories.
SATURDAY
What: Learn about hides and tallow at the Santa Cruz Mission State Historic Park.
Where: School St. off of Mission and Emmet St.
Time: 1 p.m.-2 p.m.; Rain Cancels

Why go: Get the scoop about how Santa Cruz participated in a world economy back in the early 1800’s. Kids will love the chance to make their own candle and take it home.

What: Take Back Our Streets, a walk and ballet for awareness about Violence and Human Trafficking
When: 6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
Where: 809 Center St. (the City Hall courtyard) with a ballet performance at Pacific and Cooper, outside the Rittenhouse Building.
Why: To bring light to dark places around the city and make a difference. Bring a candle or flashlight.
SUNDAY
What: Musical benefit for Bryan Stow with Tim Flannery
Where: Kuumbwa Jazz Center
When: 7 p.m.
Cost: $25/advance; $28 door.
Why: Giants third base coach Tim Flannery is a rocker who wants to raise money for the family of the fan who was attacked by Dodgers fans two years ago. Flannery has performed with Bob Weir, Willie Nelson, Jackson Browne, Jimmy Buffett, Merle Haggard and Jackie Greene.
