Why Go:  The 1959 initial site of Jack O'Neill's Santa Cruz Surf Shop, was recently recognized as a 'California Historical Point of Interest.' Where:  Kuumbwa Jazz Center

Why Go:  The legend of the well-known Jazz musician Dave Brobeck lives on as his son's Dan and Chris (bass and drums), along with guitarist Mike DeMicco, and pianist Chuck Lamb, pay tribute to the late, recognized performer.   "There's really nothing out there that comes close to thier unique brand of eventiveness," All That Jazz.

What:  Resolutions - Gallery Exhibition

Where:  Santa Cruz Mountains Art Center

Why Go:  Local Artists feature their collections of sculpture, ceramics, paintings, wood, baskets, glass, textiles, jewelry and other works of art that have been on display since the start of the New Year.                     www.mountainartcenter.org
