Photo Essay: Saturday at the Santa Cruz Rejuvenation Festival

This celebration of healthy things continues Sunday.

San Lorenzo Park was filled Saturday with good music and good vibes. It was the Rejuvenation Festival, which promoters describe this way:

"The idea is simple but profound, bring the high vibration and intentionality of other conscious  music/art festivals and gatherings right to downtown parks across California and beyond, and offer free admission, every time. Each event will feature Inspiring World Class Music, Eco-fair, free yoga classes, organic food, sustainable living workshops and info, alternative healing by donation, and so much more. We see this as the perfect opportunity to promote peace, healthy living, non-dogmatic and open minded spirituality, and sustainable "green" living to the main stream consciousness AND have a lot of fun while we are at it."

There was great music Saturday, notably Ginny Mitchell and Patti Maxine, but the biggest name, Charles Neville, plays Sunday. Here is the music schedule.

Great photos! It was a fabulous day for the festival, Saturday. Today, I will be riding my bicycle at the Strawberry Fields bike ride in South Santa Cruz County instead of attending Rejuvenation Festival in San Lorenzo Park. So hopefully, Patch will post more photos from Sunday, too.

I had a great time at the Festival on Saturday - AfroFunk Experience got me to my feet dancing and Jamaican recording artist Sister Carol lived up to her reputation as an incredible Reggae music star. I will be back to the festival today. The highlight for me will be Charles Neville who joins Grammy nominee Youssoupha Sidibe and his Mystic Rhythms Band. Going to be a beautiful day again in the park!
