The Museum of Art and History decided to let the public paint all over it on Friday, for their 3rd Friday July: Street Art Night.
The event featured local artist Elijah Pfotenhauer, who helped organize the colorful mural that now marks the walls on both sides of the MAH's front steps.
"The theme is just like Santa Cruz and art. Some of the drawings have themes, some are just patterns," said Pfotenhauer of the mural, which includes a roller coaster and waves.
Other artists participating in the event included mosaic artist Kathleen Crocetti and Krusch Rhoades.
