TEDxSantaCruz Announces Free Webcast of TED2012

SANTA CRUZ, California (February 1, 2012) – On March 1, 2012, TEDxSantaCruz will share the TED 2012 Conference with a public webcast at the Santa Cruz Museum of Art & History from 10 am to 7 pm. Each year, the world’s leading thinkers and doers gather for the TED Conference, an event many describe as “the ultimate brain spa and a 4-day journey into the future, in the company of those creating it.” This year, the theme is “Full Spectrum.” Content will span the full spectrum of knowledge TED stands for, from dazzling technology and leading-edge science to the richest veins of human creativity and interconnection, offering the most important things that bring attendees back every year: Inspiration. Wonder. Authenticity. A hunger to learn.

TEDxSantaCruz is licensed to share the videotaped presentations from the second day of the TED Conference and will be hosting this event for the Santa Cruz community. There will be several breaks and one-hour for lunch on your own. Attendees may bring food to eat at the museum or enjoy lunch with fellow audience members in downtown Santa Cruz.

To attend the event, please register at http://www.tedxsantacruz.org/engage/events/. Seating is limited and tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis. There is a no charge, but a $5 donation is suggested for this event—TEDxSantaCruz is sponsoring free admission to the museum all day.

I like the sound of James' new music and believe he has shown significant growth between his debutRead More album and his second. But to say he was "the real winner of his season of 'American Idol'" is disingenuous. He faltered down the stretch compared to the other finalists.

He is such an attractive and lovely young man, tho I am old enough to be his grandmother I stillRead More feel so passionate about James Durbin and his sexy hair and rock music. Makes me feel young again!

This show was exceptional, James is a natural on stage and shines with the brightest stars. I amRead More proud to say I was hooked and reeled in from the first notes sang during Idol auditions. As a life long lover of a variety of music I can safely say I see nothing but great things in this young man's future. He had me first as a singer, soon thereafter as a performer and now as James DURBIN, singer, song writer, performer and artist. He continues to grow and push himself toward stardom and I am proud to be Right Behind him all the way.
