HERO AWARDS

Do you know a hero who has made a difference in our community?  Each year, the American Red Cross honors community members who have demonstrated heroism through extraordinary acts of courage and kindness. Award categories include: Animal Rescue, Education, Good Samaritan, Law Enforcement, Lifetime Achievement, Medical Professional, Military, Rescue Professional, Workplace and Youth Heros. Make a nomination at www.sccredcross.org; the deadline is April 2.

KIDS' GYM CAMP

Want to keep your kids off the couch during Easter break from April 2-6? Santa Cruz Gymnastic Center has half and full day camps with  gymnastic instruction and open gym times, themes, trampolines, and a foam pit. 

There will be craft time, snack time, and a last day party with lunch provided.

A great way to keep your kids off the couch during spring break.  Full Day Camp – 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.; costs daily  $65 members, $75 non-members: Weekly  $260 members, $300 non-members.  Half Day Camp – 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. or 1:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.; cost daily $40 members, $50 non-members:  Weekly $160 members, $200 non-members.  Campers ages 4 – 5 years old may only attend half day camp 8:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.  Payment is due in full before the week of camp.

APPLY FOR CABRILLO COLLEGE HONORS PROGRAM

Students graduating high school in spring 2012 and planning to apply for the Cabrillo College Honors Transfer Program for fall semester 2012 must complete their applications and submit all necessary documents by April 5. Current students can also apply for the program. Get more information on the Honors Transfer Program website or call the Honors Transfer Program Offices at (831) 477-3505.
