Local Electric Motorcycle Company Gets Picked up by LAPD

by Dave Colby

There may be additional zeros coming to the financial bottom line for Zero, a Scotts Valley motorcycle company, if a potential deal in southern California materializes.

The Scotts Valley company has placed a couple of its electric motorcycles within the Los Angeles Police Department for testing, according to the LA Times.

The Zero DS Police models are being used by other police jurisdictions around the state, including in Monterey and the Foothill-De Anza Community College District Police Department. A YouTube video that shows off the Monterey Police Department's Zero motorcycle can be seen at this link.

Zero Motorcycles, once called "A Two-Wheeled Tesla Competitor" by the Wall Street Journal, has a video gallery that displays its motorcycles and riders on its website.
