Santa Cruz on TV Again Thursday: 'Baggage Battles' Films Thursday at 6 p.m.

The television crew from New York was looking for a place to watch an auction. Funny, how they all end up in Santa Cruz.

Glenna Woolard's A&A Auction Gallery has already been on television this year. It was the place that sold the pile of stuff that lined the walls of Aptos's Bayview Hotel.

That was filmed for "Restaurant Impossible."

Now the next reality show is set up at the Auction House at 115-B Harvey West Blvd., across from Costco.

Baggage Battles, which airs on the Travel Channel, "follows 3 teams of savvy auction specialists who travel to some of the most important and unknown auctions where their bids are based on sight unseen instincts," according to the show's website.

It's sort of "Storage Wars" with less junky junk. That show has already made its Santa Cruz appearance.

Woolard said the show called her after finding her on the Internet and thought it would be a good location.

Funny how many shows start thinking that around wintertime. They were supposed to be out last week, but were held up by Hurricane Sandy.

Some 100-200 people may show up Thursday at 6 p.m. to bid against these star bidders.

If you are considering, check out the pictures above of the stuff available. There's more information at www.aaauctions.com. You can also swing by at 2 p.m. to case the goods.
