What:  The Santa Cruz Fringe Festival presents, “Leather and Lace,” by Flex Dance Company.

  Bargetto Winery 25th Art & Wine Festival


When:  11a.m. – 5p.m.

Where:  Bargetto Winery, 3535 N. Main Street, Soquel

Why Go:  There will be wine tasting, live music, and at least 19 local artists exhibiting their designs including "Delisch Jewelry,"  "Santa Cruz Sea Glass," and so much more.  Enjoy pizza for purchase by Pizza Gypsy.

What:  Santa Cruz Music Festival


When:  10a.m. ticketing open (Union Grove Parking lot), 11a.m. comedy showcase at (Rosie McCann’s), 12p.m. – 1a.m. live music festival.

Where:  Downtown Santa Cruz.  Live music stages include:  The Catalyst Club stage and the Atrium, The Blue Lagoon left and right stages, Kuumbwa Jazz Center, and Motiv, Streetlight Records, Woodstock Pizza, and The Santa Cruz Public Library.

Why Go:  Support the 5th annual "Teen Battle of the Bands" at the SCPL and enjoy great live music the rest of the day by local artists like Stormy Strong, The Coffis Brothers, Tess Dunn, Big Black Delta, Sarah Mays Multiple Organisms, and over 85 more.  There will also be 85 plus hours of entertainment and it is first come, first serve.  Check out  http://www.santacruzmusicfestival.com/  for important information.

What:  Art and Music at the Beach

When:  11a.m. – 5p.m.; music on the Esplanade Stage from 2p.m. – 4p.m.

Where:  Capitola Village, Capitola

Why Go: “Singing Wood,” a world music band, will perform live on the Esplanade Stage.  Mixed media, painting, photography, jewelry and sculpture will be on display for purchase by varied artists.

Cost: Free; Ongoing Sundays through August 18th.

What:  Harmonica Jazz at Seacliff State Beach

When:  12p.m. - 2p.m.

Where:  By the Beach Shack near the pier and Cement Ship, 729 State Beach Dr., Aptos

Why Go:  Slide Man Slim and Penny Hanna perform Jazz Harmonica every Saturday through August.

What:  TimeBank Santa Cruz Mixer

When:  5p.m. – 8p.m.

Where:  Museum of Art and History, Santa Cruz

Why Go:  Swap skills and services with another who may accommodate your needs.  Come to the mixer and learn more.
