What:  WAR at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk

What:  Big Basin Trail Crew

Where:  Big Basin Park Headquarters

Why go:  Share your love of the forest while getting down and dirty, and volunteer your time and muscle maintaining and cleaning up the Big Basin trails.  This event meets the second Saturday of every month and makes it possible for other to safely visit the A typical workday lasts until mid-afternoon. Why go:  If you enjoy checking out sea life, then this is the tour for you.  These short, guided tours of the wharf offer the ability to view wildlife from a ½ mile out to sea, they share knowledge of marine research, sea lions, red tides, and sustainable energy.  Guides are from UCSC's Seymour Marine Discovery Center.
