A Mass is being offered at 11 a.m. today in Aptos to memorialize the two Santa Cruz police officers killed in the line of duty a week ago.
Resurrection Catholic Church will host Tuesday's service to honor Sgt. Loran "Butch" Baker and Detective Elizabeth Butler, who were gunned down while investigating a misdemeanor sexual assault case, and their families.
Anyone is welcome to attend, especially those who can't be at the memorial service in San Jose on Thursday.
The Mass also will be for the anointing of the sick in body, mind and heart.
Resurrection Church is located at 7600 Soquel Dr. in Aptos.
