UPDATE: Santa Cruz Police Seeking Possible Child Molestor

A man approached a 15-year-old girl asking for help finding his cat Tuesday. He approached her again Wednesday near Buena Vista and Cayuga.

Santa Cruz Police are looking for a man who stopped a 15-year-old girl riding her bike to school over the Riverside Bridge, pulled alongside her in a car and yelled to her that he needed help finding his cat and that he would pay her for her help.

She ignored him and he drove off. She continued riding her bike to school and was on Broadway near Seabright when he pulled alongside her again and made the same comment. Again she ignored him and he drove off. She was not injured and never said anything back to the male.

The man is described as African American,  30-40 years-old, wearing a black hat and red and black plaid shirt.  The car is a four door white sedan that appeared to be missing a back license plate. No vehicle brand/type available.

He has a mole on his right cheek and an earring in his left ear and was wearing a red and black plaid shirt Wednesday.
