City of Santa Cruz Schools Complete Streets Workshop

Ecology Action and the City of Santa Cruz Public Works are launching an exciting 2 year project to create a Complete Streets Plan for Santa Cruz City Schools.   We are working at 10 school sites to take inventory of what conditions exist and create visioning plans for the future.

The project kicks of NEXT WEEK with 2 public forums- Wed Oct 23rd and Thurs. Oct 24th 6:30-8pm
at Santa Cruz High Auditorium and Harbor High Multi-Purpose Room respectively. Santa Cruz Public Works and Ecology Action staff as well as consultant Alta Planning and Design will be on hand at both meetings.

The meetings are initial opportunities to share ideas and observations if you bike, walk, take the bus or drive.  What works and what doesn't? If you can't make one of the meetings, fill out our Online Form to have your voice heard (link will be live on Thursday 10/17) at http://www.saferoutessantacruz.org

We will also be soliciting volunteers from the schools to participate on walking and biking audits scheduled in November and January. For more information on the Complete Streets Project including the forums, please contact Jeanne LePage at jlepage@ecoact.org or 831-515-1344
