The Assault on "Assault"

For anyone who insists on still believing that there is no undue influence on congress by the Israel lobby or that they do not possess a stranglehold on our lawmakers and the American taxpayer, or that AIPAC and the pro-Israel camp do not exert sizeable pressure on those who endeavour to expose Israel's crimes against humanity, make it a point to tune in to Free Radio Santa Cruz on Saturday July 26 at 11:00 am PDT when I begin reading the chapter entitled "The Assault on Assault" from congressman Paul Findley's book, "They Dare to Speak Out, People and Institutions Confront Israel's Lobby" (3rd edition).  The author covers not only all details of Israel's deliberate attack upon the USS Liberty electronic surveillance ship which killed 34 and wounded 171 of our sailors in 1967, but delves deep into the continued attempt to cover up the crime and to punish and ostracize the U.S. naval officer who survived the attack and wrote his book about it.

In view of the current "war" going in the Gaza Strip, this story may indeed shed some light on how the Zionist state succeeds in removing from itself the onus of having to account for its own misbehavior and murderous acts, while maintaining never-ending support from our national coffers and outward approval from our "representatives".

Phone calls from listeners will be taken only during the mid-show break.

This is a serious, and sincere, two hour long show.  It is presented by a Palestinian-American whose father was a Jerusalem-born Christian.  The stated aim of this endeavour is to help establish peace, justice and where applicable, reconciliation among the various parties of this ongoing debacle in the Holy Land.  Please note, the views expressed on this program reflect the opinions and sentiment of this American-Arab, and make no pretense of being painstakingly balanced or objective.
