Many seniors in our community struggle on a fixed income and must make the difficult decision between their safety and covering monthly expenses. Helping Hands Senior Home Repair, a program of the Volunteer Center of Santa Cruz County, makes the difference in the lives of low-income homeowners by mobilizing volunteers to provide free safety related minor home repairs. Helping Hands relies on the labor and funds donated by community members, local clubs and area businesses. Dine at the Bittersweet Bistro and 33% of your meal proceeds will support their work.
