Ottmar Liebert's
olio of Latin-influenced guitar playing, underscored by the creative interplay of his band, Luna Negra, has garnered
five Grammy nominations over the past two decades, as well as a loyal following
throughout the world. His thirty-eight Gold and Platinum recordings are a
testament to the popularity of his self-described “nouveau flamenco,” a mix of flamenco, classical, rock, jazz, and ethnic music from around the globe. The
blend of acoustic guitar with gypsy accordion, electric bass and percussion blends
seamlessly together in his imaginative compositions. The band’s latest release Dune continues to deliver their haunting
southwest border-country sound.
