Yesterday's Farm and Second Saturday on the Farm

The
Agricultural History Project Center and Museum features Yesterday’s Farm, an
event held during the annual Santa Cruz County Fair, Tuesday September 10 to
Sunday September 15, 10am – 10pm, and includes our September Second Saturday on
the Farm!

Yesterday’s
Farm theme this year is Cowboy Boots & Country Roots — just like the Fair!  You’ll be able to drive the draft horses at 4 PM every day with Fred Silva's Clydesdales.

Every night will have a tractor
parade. Claudia's Kitchen will be open, where you can try making bread dough or

rolling out a pie crust.  We’ll have demonstrations of lumber making with a hand saw mill and the spinners and

weavers will be on-site demonstrating turning a fleece into yarn and weaving

cloth.

Kids will be able to pump water, milk ‘cows’, ride tractors, roll hoops, and have

fun petting the animals.

Tractors, trucks, and wagons will be on display as well as a new tractor barn theater  showing videos of antique tractors and how they were used. There will be

chickens, sheep, and possibly a cow and calves. We’ll have daily demonstrations

of equipment restoration and antique equipment use.
