Derby Girls First National "Make 'em Bleed" Blood Drive

The Santa Cruz Derby Girls are proud to participate in the first ever nationwide Roller Derby Blood Drive. The league has been a long-time partner with the American Red Cross promoting local blood donation, and is the inspiration for this larger drive. Join SCDG as they host the Derby Girls "Make 'em Bleed" Blood Drive with the American Red Cross on August 13th and 14th at 41st Ave Whole Foods Market.

Members of the Santa Cruz Derby Girls will be on-hand to greet and thank blood donors, sign autographs and even give blood themselves. All participating blood donors at the drive will receive an official event T-shirt and miscellaneous roller derby-themed giveaways.

Every two seconds, someone in the United Sates needs blood. You can make a difference in the life of a local patient in need by giving blood at 41st Avenue Whole Foods on August 13th and 14th. Help the Santa Cruz Derby Girls support the community blood supply.

To schedule your appointment to donate blood, visit the information table at the entrance of Kaiser Permanente Arena at our July 28th Double Header, or call 1-800-RED CROSS or visit redcrossblood.org and enter the sponsor code: DERBY.

A single donation can help save multiple lives.

This blood drive is sponsored by the Santa Cruz Derby Girls, the American Red Cross and Brown Paper Tickets.
