Slide Show: Downtown Santa Cruz Snow Brings Lots of Cheer

The annual tradition of bringing snow downtown brought crowds.

Hundreds of kids dug deep in white snow Thursday as piles of the stuff were trucked in to raise donations for the Second Harvest Food Bank.

Some of them were seeing snow for the first time and they quickly figured out what was best to do with it: throw it at mom and dad.

Add in horse drawn carriage rides and almost East Coast temperatures and Downtown was really bringing in the holiday spirit.

If you missed it, Scotts Valley is bringing in snow Dec. 20. from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. to Sky Park. Details here.
