I watch almost every sunset from the beach...It's part of living in Santa Cruz, right? 

But the last two weeks of December are the best for photographs. HERE'S WHY...basically because of the angle of the sun, rays of light pass through more of the atmosphere and reds and oranges come out stronger, while blues fade.
