Sex and power. We see in the halls of the Senate and the streets of Hollywood that they are inexplicably intertwined. But are they intertwined in your own life as well?
Of course the answer to that is a resounding yes ~ even if you are not impressed by the posturing of the powerful, seduced by shopping, or attracted to becoming rich and famous.
Sex, power, control, money, creativity, and possessions are all governed by the same area of the body's energy system: the second chakra. A person who is healthy in the second chakra is confident in the presence of other powerful people. She or he is not able to be seduced, persuaded, or convinced by others. There is a sense of playfulness, eroticism, and creativity that is fundamentally magnetic.
If that doesn't sound like you, you can be certain that fear is operating in the background of your psyche. To learn to stand in your power, your fears must be addressed.
Luckily, you don't have to go through years of therapy to let go of fear. First, recognize that nothing outside of you will resolve the problem. You must look inside of yourself for permanent transformation. Second, imagine your fear as energy. Find where it is in your body. And then use imagery to move that energy out of your body and into the Earth.
A truly powerful person operates without fear, standing in the world but not seduced by it, with an inner compass that guides his or her unerringly to greater levels of self-realization. Even if you don't currently see that in yourself, you are that person.
