Join us for a journey of storytelling and adventure, waves and places like you’ve never seen before Saturday night at 6 p.m. at Conscious Creations.

An evening with special big wave guest speakers including Jeff Clark, Founder of Mavericks, and Chris Bertish, Big Wave Champion and Ocean Pioneer.

Featuring a local, organic dinner, raffle, and the screening of previews for the documentary film Ocean Driven – The Chris Bertish Story. The event will raise awareness and support for the final post-production push of the film and beyond.

Chris Bertish, winner of the last and biggest ever paddle-in surf contest at Mavericks Big Wave Invitational Event in Half Moon Bay, has a story to tell. Bertish was at the forefront of big wave surfing and a pioneer of paddling into newer, larger waves than most had thought possible.

From South Africa’s coast to around the world, Bertish chronicled his unsponsored odyssey over a period of 15 years as he grew into a highly - skilled and fearless waterman. This is a real and gritty film full of authentic footage that was shot during the start of a new era in surfing. The film features interviews with countless big wave legends and ocean specialists. The goal of the film is to thrill and inspire viewers to believe in and follow their dreams.
