Alleged Business Burglar Caught by SCPD
The alarm was still sounding when Santa Cruz Police pulled up on a suspect.
Santa Cruz Police arrested a 32-year-old man in the back of a business on the 1200 block of Mission Street after they said he was trying to pry his way in.
Christopher Thomas, 32, was stopped by police at 7:15 p.m. Friday. He was sitting on the rear steps of the building when Officer Saul Rodriguez arrived.
Thomas is on parole for burglary and was arrested for attempted burglary and prowling. The officer reported he found fresh pry marks on the door.
