Big Drug Bust in Santa Cruz Tire Shop

Sheriff's deputies found meth, heroin and money.

Sheriff's deputies found 35 grams of cocaine, 21 grams of methamphetamine, nine grams of heroin and $2000, while serving a search warrant at Gondez Tire and Wheels at 2871 Soquel Ave. #B Thursday.

They arrested Hector Quinones Velasquez, 41, the business owner, for possession of drugs, being under the influence of drugs and having a stolen laptop taken in a home burglary two weeks ago.

They also arrested Juan Chavez, 38, for possession of drugs for sale and being under the influence. Chavez, who gave a fake name at first, was deported to Mexico in 1999 after being arrested in Los Angeles for selling marijuana.
