Car on Northbound Highway 1 Flips and Stops Traffic

UPDATE: Traffic was moving again at 6:16 p.m. ...Northbound Highway 1 was a parking lot after an injury accident at 5:25 p.m. Friday.

A northbound car hit the median on Highway 1 north of Soquel Avenue and flipped causing at least one injury and stopping traffic during the evening rush.

Fire and rescue crews were called at 5:25 p.m. and traffic did not move again until 6:15.

By the time the road was cleared, Google Maps showed a standstill as far back as Park Avenue. Because of highway construction, Southbound traffic on the highway is backed up to the fish hook.
