CHP Looking for 1999-2004 Dodge Ram in Hit-and-Run of Highway 1 Bicyclist

Evidence at the scene pointed to the pickup.

The California Highway Patrol is looking for a Dodge Ram pickup from 1999-2004 in connection with the hit-and-run of a 39-year-old homeless man who was found on the side of Highway 1 Friday morning.

The man was identified as Joshua Lavin, according to the coroner's office.

Lavin was struck Thursday or Friday and his body was found near Wilder Ranch by a passing cyclist. His terrier stayed by his side.

CHP officers said the pickup may have had extended mirrors for hauling.
