The body of a 31-year-old Fremont woman was found floating near the Santa Cruz wharf last week, according to media reports.
According to the Santa Cruz Sentinel, Lahela Junella Bosco’s body was pulled from the ocean late Wednesday night. She was fully clothed.
A couple spotted Bosco’s body while walking along the wharf.
A call to the Santa Cruz County sheriff’s office was not immediately returned Monday, but a deputy told the Sentinel on Friday that an autopsy was still pending.
However, no foul play is suspected, Santa Cruz County sheriff’s deputy April Skalland told the newspaper.
Sheriff’s deputies estimated that Bosco’s body had been in the ocean for less than 24 hours, according to the Sentinel.
