t's time for the weekly peek at some of the county's most-wanted criminals.
Local law enforcement agencies have come together and are asking for the public's help in locating these fugitives. Have you seen them? If so, contact your local law enforcement agency.

SANTA CRUZ POLICE
Jose Palafox
AGE: 21
DESCRIPTION: 6-feet tall, 210 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes
HOME: Lower Ocean Street neighborhood
WARRANT: Assault with a deadly weapon. Palafox has a felony warrant for his arrest involving an assault with a deadly weapon charge. He is an associate of Sureno Street gangs.

SCOTTS VALLEY POLICE
Eduardo Barrios
AGE: 22
DESCRIPTION: 5 feet, 6 inches, 165 pounds with black hair and brown eyes
HOME: Transient, San Jose
WARRANT: Receiving known stolen property. In July 2007, Barrios was contacted on a routine traffic stop on Highway 17 at Vine Hill Road. A search of the vehicle and its occupants revealed three car stereos and a car speaker, as well as burglary tools. He failed to appear in court and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

CAPITOLA POLICE
Jason Pastula
AGE: 32
DESCRIPTION: 6 feet, 1 inch, 185 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes
HOME: Capitola
WARRANT: Resisting arrest. Pastula was arrested after he was contacted in a vehicle on Capitola Avenue. He was found to have two active warrants for his arrest. When police attempted to take him into custody, he resisted arrest and ran. He was eventually caught a short distance away and taken into custody for the warrants. He has since failed to appear for his court date and a warrant was issued.

WATSONVILLE POLICE
Jorge Morales
AGE: 33
DESCRIPTION: 5 feet, 8 inches, 150 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes
HOME: Unknown
WARRANT: Negligent manner. Morales discharged a BB gun negligently and hit a neighbor in the face. He failed to appear in court and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Santa Cruz Sheriff’s Office
Brett Taylor
AGE: 54
DESCRIPTION: 5 feet, 10 inches, 195 pounds with grey hair and brown eyes.
HOME: Unknown
WARRANT: Assault with a deadly weapon. Taylor returned to a property in Watsonville from which he had been evicted and assaulted a property caretaker with a knife. He fled in his vehicle.
